I am a year 12 media student, Robert Fantozzi of Brighton Secondary College in Melbourne Australia. For my year 12 media project, I am expected to create a ten-minute short film, which accounts for majority of my Year 12 media mark.
For my film, I am creating a film that is in the crime genre and very much reminiscent of Martin Scorsese, including the use of popular music. I am asking permission to use the song Five to One by The Doors. The 11th track on the album Waiting for the Sun.
The film is a not for profit film and will not be used for my own personal distribution. The film and hence the song, will only be shown in front of the media students and teachers of my said school, the examiners to mark it, and if permission to use the song is given, it will be allowed to be entered into Top Arts, a not for profit film competition that showcases the year 12 media films of the year.
Furthermore, I wish to enter the film into the Acmi film competition, a nation wide film competition that requires permission of any music use. The film will not be used for profit or personal distribution and will not breach any copy right laws if your permission to use the song is granted. Thank you

I wish I knew why the popular, charismatic and highly influential singer-songwriter Bob Gibson failed to make the Elektra Essential 100 list, while bluesman Sonny Terry did -- especially since Jac Holzman sold Terry's Elektra masters to Riverside Records more than fifty years ago!
I like elektra very much, because I like the design, you can watch everyvideo you want, the structure is very well done. Everythings fine. Thats for the moment. I love elektra. and one question.. I'm really thankful that the late Paul Rothchild, owner of elektra, was able to sign a great Band after wild frontman, David Gates and Bread, when he discovered and signed a the much more mellow lead singer like Jimmy Morrison of the Doors with the "Rich Hypnotic Baratone" and the laid back lifestyle...Dan O'Niallain, Grafton, Ma.
Bruno Mars has a very beautiful rare talent that doesn't come along that often...you can hear his honesty and passion for singing when listening to his music...this kido is very impressive, I wish him much success and hope to hear a lot more of his music in the near future. Electra Records has a great talent working for their organization.
I Can't seem to find information of when Neil Sedaka was on Elektra records in the late 70's early 80's He released the albums "A Song" in 1977 and "In The Pocket" in 1980. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
