Bio:

You can't really describe it; just listen and have fun. That's the response Carolyn Veruca will give you with a smile when asked to describe her sound and music.

Veruca is a multitalented singer, songwriter, and musician who feels most at home when she's performing. Born to an ordinary family in Zurich, Switzerland, she was raised in a family of engineers and doctors. Her father, a spanish engineer, often played songs of The Beatles on his phonograph in the living room. When a six-year-old Veruca hears the sound of the guitars she tells him: "I wanna play like that someday!"
"So my dad bought me a guitar and enrolled me in guitar lessons. In retrospect it was the best decision of my life", says Veruca with a laugh." From this point on all I wanted to do was music."

From then on Veruca practised daily on her guitar and got always better. "I was a really stubborn child; my guitar teacher needed a certain time until he realized that I was only practicing when we played the songs I wanted to", Veruca says.
When she was 14 years old, Veruca started to write her own songs. "It's a really exhausting process to write a song about your own life, because before you can write your own feelings down, you have to realize what you really feel. But once you've finished a song you can't help but writing another one, says Veruca enthusiastically.

When asked about her future she tells us "I wanna go to America, Australia or probably England the next year to improve my english, but also to gain experience and to refine my music. My biggest wish is just to make music people can relate and connect to. I don't need to be a world-famous musician, I am happy with everything I have now."
