Look out for this proudly South African rising star!
He was born in Johannesburg and has been singing ever since.
Daniel is a self taught musician on drums, bass and piano - he has never attended lessons - and his ear for music has led him to become a skilled singer/songwriter. Over the years he has performed in restaurants, theatres, jazz bars and clubs. He finished high school in 2009 which is the same year he competed in Simon Fuller’s ‘South African Idol’. He placed 9th in the competition, which led him to huge opportunities such as local performances, sponsors and even an international gig.
His style is a mix of pop and rock, but can’t be limited to a single genre because of his countless influences: U2, Journey, Def Leppard, John Mayer, Robbie Williams, OneRepublic, Maroon 5, Coldplay and is very often compared to Michael Buble.
“I write music to move people” Daniel mentions. With his distinctive voice, catchy melodies and profound lyrics, you are bound to be moved. Daniel has been in and out of the studio since 2005, forever recording and writing new material. He has recently completed his debut album, “Paint My Blue Sky”, with SA producer Myles Shannon.
