ROB JOHNSON

My name is Robert Lee Johnson “Rob Johnson”. I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I have been working on music since the age of fifteen, singing in choirs and teaching myself how to play both the piano and guitar. Shortly after, I knew that music was a passion that I wanted to take on as a career.
My music has a range of different sounds. I have R&B, pop, neo-soul, and smooth club tracks that everyone can enjoy. My songs have a creative and unique sound, as well as catchy and captivating lyrics; just enough to leave a lasting impression on listeners, and deliver something they can really vibe to. My voice is passionate, and it flows well with the ambiance of my style of writing. I have a strong emotional sound that can easily evoke the emotions of the listener. I have been compared to Brian Mc Knight and Jagged Edge. I have also been told that my lyrical content builds up the spirits and it is feel good music.

Singer, songwriter, producer, and vocal arranger, Rob Johnson, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native has performed at numerous rallies and local venues in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Atlanta, Georgia and the surrounding areas. He is most noted for his distinct style, an intense emotional sound with a smooth melodic flow.Coming from a family of musicians, this self-taught musician knew early on that he wanted to be involved in music for the rest of his life. As a little boy, he remembers going to choir rehearsals with his mother and hearing and watching her play the piano. It was at this time, he believes, that his love for music grew.Now, with a determination to create music and songs that fuel the best part of people, it is no surprise that Robert’s goal is to ultimately start his own sub publishing company, so that he can not only create such music, but also create opportunities for teens to escape rough home life through music. Yet with all this forward momentum, and amidst the various awards and accolades, Robert remains grounded and humble by spending time with his family and by acknowledging his faith,realizing that apart from God he cannot do anything.Robert’s love for God, unlimited repertoire, and head-strong persistence has set him on a course destined to shake the very core of the music world. More than a musician, Robert represents a generation that is relentless in their pursuit to bring a positive message to the streets. He understands that it is not just about the music, but it is more about developing and creating an opportunity for others to have a lifestyle that will yield success.

I do a fantastic job at writing songs and performing, thanks to my outgoing personality, which allows me to feel very comfortable in front of any crowd. Also, I specialize in helping other artists to compose, arrange, record, and complete songs of their own. I feel that I am a great attribute to the industry simply because of my determination, talent, and creative mind. I excel in almost everything I put my mind to and I know that I have what it takes. Nevertheless I stay humble and open, always aiming to be better.
