Born in Portugal, Bernardo always lived and breathed music, and the proof is that by the age of 15, one of his songs as chosen for the Portuguese “2007 Eurovision Song Contest” in each he played his piece on national television.
Characterize by is relaxed vocals and appearance on stage, it’s not hard to enjoy the music when you can easily connect to it. His songs talk about life, hate, growing or even love, because if you think the theme of love it’s what attracts people.
Music was not is first choice for a career, but with the years it became stronger and stronger, and there is no doubt now.
But growing up for this young soul was an adventure, always surrounded by the sound of a drum beat or his grandmother singing Portuguese folklore it was only a matter of time until he developed a need to write or compose to express himself.
Influenced by a hand full of singer-songwriters as Greg Brown, Cat Stevens, Jack Johnson, Bob Dylan, Dispatch, Bob Marley, Nick Drake, Jorge Palma or Sergio Godinho, Bernardo always tried to see beyond the artist and reach for the music.
He believes that there are no such thing as “bad music” and gives it best to serve the song the best he can.
