Bethani Joy‘s debut CD “Sweeter Things” becomes a big hit with audiences worldwide. It all began for Bethani Joy when she was five years old. She began to take voice lessons. After all music ran in her family as both parents are musicians. Music and singing have always been a passion to Bethani. It was at no surprise to her parents that she too, took that road. Bethani was also around musical theater and took part in plays such as Guys and Dolls, A Christmas Carol, Oklahoma and Annie. At the age of 18 having completed the recording of her debut CD, Bethani was ready to take on the music industry. In November 2011, Bethani released “The Sweeter Things” with singles “Sweeter Things” and “The Strings of My Guitar” both demonstrating the incredible talent that lay before audiences. The meaning of these songs was personal as they reflected Bethani hitting a point in her life when the smiles had faded and unhappiness had set in. It was a challenge and a mission to believe that happiness could follow. The theme of these songs empowers you and strengthened one’s conviction to stand up above all turbulent as a survivor, even if you are on a road that is unfamiliar to you. The entire CD is based off one relationship that she was working through. It had its vicissitudes and after writing all the emotionally charged songs, found her life was not taking the path she was intended to take, so she thought. She took the path she was destined to take which led her to write these great songs. It was a turning point in her life. These are songs that all can relate to through her words and her emotions, we live it as did she.
